Hello all! Happy Friday!
This Bay Area weather keeps getting better & it’s making me think about a nice cold beer (ah!), but I’ve got a baby and some pups. No problem! The good thing about living in the Bay Area is that we are able to enjoy the things we love with family, friends, babies & dogs! That’s why I love living here.
Here are some awesome breweries in the Bay Area you should check out that are both kid-friendly & dog-friendly where you can not only enjoy some amazing craft beer, but also delicious food & the outdoors as well! We have been to 3 of these and rest are on our list to try. Enjoy!
1. Cleophus Quealy | San Leandro, CA
A few Saturdays ago, we checked out an awesome local beer company, Cleophus Quealy‘s, tasting room for my brother-in-law’s birthday. With 3 boys of his own, this was an awesome space to spend his birthday because not only is the brewery kid-friendly, but it is pet-friendly as well! They also have a rotating food truck available to grab something to eat or you could even bring your own snacks if you choose.
Open: Saturdays: 12pm – 9pm & Sundays: 12pm – 8pm

Food Options: Rotating Food Trucks on certain weekend days, check website.
2. Devil’s Canyon Brewing Co. | San Carlos, CA
We came here on a Friday night when they hosted Off the Grid. This super-kid friendly brewery had many kids and some dogs with yummy beer. There was also a live band playing inside with some tables, couches and chairs. The back area is pretty large where about 10 food trucks are. On a warm night, this should definitely be on your list to go to!
Open: 4-9pm every Friday (Beer Garden Friday’s with OTG), and until 11pm on the last Friday of the month (Beer Friday)

3. Faction Brewery | Alameda, CA
Faction Brewery is a hip & fun place to be. We came here for a cousin’s birthday. Well actually, we went next door to do a tour at St. George’s Spirits (which we highly recommend) and came here after to try out some beer & snacks. Snacks are local goodies that taste homemade like chicharrones 🙂 Another plus about Faction is that they have just started to add food vendors to their Friday nights, so check their website for those options.
Open: Wednesday – Saturday: 12p – 8p, Sundays: 12p – 6p

4. Drakes Barrel House | San Leandro, Ca
Another brewery located in San Leandro that is open more hours than Cleophus Quealy mentioned above is Drake’s Barrel House. Unlike the previously mentioned breweries, they have sausages, tacos, grilled cheese, quesadillas, and other goodies that are prepared on-site as well guest food trucks every 1st Friday of the month. We can’t wait to have Bella, Tajia & Dahlia check this place out too 🙂
Open: Monday-Thursday: noon-9pm, Friday-Saturday: noon-10pm, Sunday: noon-7pm

Food Options: Brew! Kitchen Hours: Monday-Thursday: noon-8pm,Friday-Saturday: noon-9pm, First Fridays: In service 4pm-8pm, along with guest food trucks, Sunday: noon-6pm
5. Half Moon Bay Brewing Company | Half Moon Bay, Ca
This brewery & full-service restaurant takes the cake. This place has an award-winning dog-friendly patio and they give out their very own complimentary doggie treats AKA Maverick Bones, which are made with the spent grains from their artisanal beers. They not only love dogs, but love kids too! Their kids menu consists of good food like fresh salmon, salads, & grilled prawns among other things rather than just fried food & french fries.
We are heading down to Half Moon Bay this weekend for a birthday and we may just stop by to check this place out!

Sunday 10am – close
