Halloween is almost here! Are you ready?! I’m not! ? Well, to tell you the truth, I have some decor outside, some inside and we’ve been so busy this month that I haven’t even carved a pumpkin (but has anyone really got time for that these days?)
So, this perfect mummy votive is an easy way to get my DIY fix in and fulfill my home lacking in the spirit of the scary holiday.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Mason Jar
- Hot Glue Gun
- Fake Tea Lights (be safe – no real ones, please)
- Googley eyes
- Cheese Cloth/Gauze/Muslin
Here’s what to do:
- First, plug in that glue gun and get ready.
- Grab the cloth of your choice and start at the bottom. You’ll glue the fabric about every 6 inches as you work your way up.
- Once you’ve completed step 2, push down the fabric to reveal some glass and glue the eyes.
- Lastly, drop in those faux tea lights and enjoy! And remember, no mummy is perfect — so it’ll look good no matter what! ?
