Holy smokes. Can you believe that it’s already December Where did the time go? Before we know it, we’ll all be getting ready to celebrate the New Year.

Before you get all cozy and comfortable in your shawls, sweaters, and Ugg boots, it’s always a good idea to keep your health in mind during the holiday season. Before you head out to the next company happy hour or celebratory dinner during the season, be sure to check out some of the best indoor workouts in the Bay to keep you feeling fabulous this holiday season.

Barry’s Boot Camp

San Francisco

If you’re looking for a calorie-torching workout that dubs itself as being the “world’s best workout” then Barry’s is your place. Here, you’ll work on different muscle groups every day of the week as you do 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of resistance training for an hour of fun. Fuel yourself with one of their signature post-workout protein shakes.
ProAction Athletics

Oakland

Ladies, if you’re looking for a boot camp for you, this is it. At ProAction, you can do a four-week boot camp, any time from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. or choose an evening time from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Classes are an hour long and include fun cardio drills and much more. This is a boot camp made by women for women.

BaseCamp Fitness 

Burlingame & San Francisco

If you’re crunched for time like a lot of us are nowadays, then you might want to check out BaseCamp. Their classes are only 35 minutes, but you’ll get to complete 30 different exercises along with using the assault air bike that’ll help you feel the burn. Their inclusive gym will make you feel like you’ve accomplished so much in so little time.
OrangeTheory Fitness

With various locations throughout the Bay (and not-to-mention the country), OrangeTheory has got it all! This very popular studio is everything a Bay Area techie would want in their workout: heart rate monitoring for efficiency and lots of fun pieces of cardio and strength equipment to use over the course of the hour-long workout — and, of course, the Orange ambience is a plus for all the Giants fans.

If boot camps aren’t your thing, then head over to Ride. It’s beautiful studio has a home-like feel to it and even offers babysitting. Here, you’ll find motivating instructors who keep the lights dim so you can focus on your ride rather than on each other — or even that puddle of sweat you’ve created.
SpinTherapy 

Daly City

If you’re looking for a great sweat with pumping music and personable instructors, then SpinTherapy is your place. Conveniently located off of the 280, you’ll find this gem — which is attached to their studio and gym, FitnessTherapy, where you can also take one of their fitness classes.
Revelry

San Mateo

At Revelry, you can take a themed spin class, like “Justin Timberlake vs. Justin Bieber” or the “2000s Hip Hop” class, heyyyy! Their signature RevRide class not only uses the hi-tech bikes, but also incorporates weights for upper body and includes core exercises too. Score!

U-Jam Fitness

Created and developed in the South Bay, U-Jam is sure to check all your boxes when considering a workout — it’s crazy fun, upbeat, and yes, you will definitely sweat. You will dance to a variety of genres ranging from K-Pop to Hip Hop and literally everything in between. In one hour you will warm up, dance your ass off, tone muscles, and groove to a cool down. Class will go by so fast you won’t even feel like you’re working out! Yaaass!
Shimmy Pop at Hipline Dance Studio

Five, six, seven, eight… Ladies, if you’re into sparkling, not sweating then check out the Shimmy Pop classes here at Hipline. This might just be the most fun you’ve ever had in a fitness/dance class. No dance experience is required; you just gotta be able to let loose and shake that booty. Rad attire is suggested, so be sure to get out those stunna shades.

BollyX Fitness

Have you ever wanted to Bollywood dance? Well, here’s your chance! BollyX Fitness is a Bollywood-inspired dance fitness class that’ll get your heart pumping as the instructors not only use Bollywood music, but also current music as well. The 50-minute classes includes a performance portion at the end that’ll make you feel like you’re onstage or in a Bollywood movie while getting in a great workout.
