Travel Tuesday:  Fall Fun in Half Moon Bay

I love Fall. ???  And I may be a little bit biased because I was born in the Fall, but I really do — the crisp, cool air, the changing of the leaves and wearing boots and scarves.  What’s even better is there is pumpkin everything!

(Want more pumpkin?? Check out my article on the best pumpkin flavored items in the Bay Area:    https://www.bayarea.com/eat/best-pumpkin-flavored-foods-bay-area/ )

Here in the Bay, the only place to go to celebrate all things pumpkin is Half Moon Bay; there’s pumpkin patches galore and even a pumpkin festival this upcoming weekend. But for those of us with little ones, fun on the farms are where it’s at as they cater to families with kids of all ages to appreciate the autumn season.
Here is a taste of what it’s like to have some fall fun in the beautiful HMB.

Stop By The Famous Lemos Farms

There’s pumpkins everywhere here at this kid-friendly farm.  Take photos because the entire farm is a photo-op waiting to happen.
In the mood for pumpkin goodies? Inside the barn they sell many pumpkin items like Pumpkin Flavored It’s-It Ice Cream, Pumpkin Pie and even Award Winning Pumpkin Bread among other non-pumpkin flavored items.

Nothing scary for Dahlia as she waves…
And if you’re feeling brave, check out their haunted house too!

Head Across the Street to Pastorino Farms
Here at Pastorino’s you’ll get more bang for your buck as prices are cheaper for kid activities and lines shorter. Dahlia rode the train, went into the petting zoo, and slid down the inflatable slides. They also have much more!

Shop Small at the Half Moon Bay Nursery

In addition to the Pumpkin overload here, you can also head to the Half Moon Bay Nursery to find all your plant needs!

We have been looking for a fiddle leaf fig tree for our newly renovated kitchen and found one at this gem of a nursery. Prices are reasonable and they have literally everything you could think of.

Beach, Sunset & Chowder

Finally, if you still have energy at the end of your day, head over to the beach and grab a bite to eat at Sam’s Chowder House where you can get scrumptious lobster rolls and chowder, bring your dog(s) on the outdoor patio and watch the sunset go down.

Happy Fall Travels! ????
