Thrifty Thursday:  DIY Cut & Tie Warriors T-Shirt

73-9.  Yep.  That’s what the Warriors just did last night.  I am a huge Golden State Warriors fan and a fan of Basketball in general.  So, last nights games were epic and got me ready for what’s next:  Playoffs.

I went to the Playoffs in 2014 and have been holding on to my XXL Shirt thinking about what I should do with it and behold, the power of Pinterest.

There are so many unique and easy things to do with big ol’ shirts.  I chose this design because I wanted to keep the ‘Playoffs’ in tact on the back of the shirt.

Here is what you’ll need to get yourself Playoff ready too:

  • Fabric Scissors (a must for clothing)
  • T-Shirt of Choice
  • Steady cutting hands or use an old tank top for lines
  • Chalk

Step 1:  Prep your shirt

Step 2:  Figure out your pattern and trace with chalk

Step 3: Cut away!

Step 4:  Finishing Touches

In my case, it was to tie the front of the shirt.

Step 5: Wash the shirt!

This step is crucial for me to make sure the shirt molds and gets exactly the right shape you want it to be.  Also, the edges will look more finished as well.

And now, I’m playoff ready! Here we come Houston!
